You have learned a lot about rabbits, their health, handling and care. Let’s give back to your community and gain valuable hands-on rabbit experience!
With the help of a parent/guardian locate a businesses or organizations that works with rabbits in your area. Below are a few suggested locations throughout Florida. If you are in another state, use your Internet skills to research reliable rabbit resources in your area.
Interview the person you will be volunteering/shadowing. Write in the answer to the five questions listed and make up 5 of your own to ask this person.
Step 2: My Rabbit Experience Resume
A resume is a summary of various experiences, it is used in situations such as applying for a specific job, and it shows your future employer that you have had experience in that particular field.
Build your Rabbit Resume, the more experience, the better! Don’t limit yourself to volunteering in one location, visit several clinics, and broaden your knowledge by volunteering in different rabbit related businesses. This way you will have a broader understanding about rabbits in your community.
