Introduction
Nutrition is a vital component of an animal’s health and productivity.
In rabbit enterprises, where rabbits are owned, they are typically fed
a well-balanced pelleted diet along with free access to fresh clean
water. This section will outline the general requirements for a rabbit’s
nutrition and then give specific information regarding the rabbit's stage
of development and marketing purpose. There is also information
regarding the various nutrient sources in rabbit feed and the necessary compositions.

Solve this Situation

Scenario
Toby is starting a meat market rabbit project. He has one Californian buck and a few New Zealand does. Help him outline a feeding program for his rabbits. He would like to use pelleted feed, but needs to choose one that meets the nutritional requirements for these rabbits.

When outlining a feeding program for Toby, consider that in his market project he will be faced with rabbits in various developmental and reproductive situations. In order to offer these rabbits the proper nutrition, Toby will need to know things such as how much to feed each rabbit, what type of feed to use, and which feed and water equipment to use.
