1. Mature Size
Domestic rabbits range in mature weight from 2 1/2 pounds to over 18 pounds! The size of the rabbit will determine:

  • cage size
  • amount of water
  • amount of feed
  • ventilation

It will also serve as an indicator of the handling requirements and difficulty of care since it is much easier to carry a 2½ pound rabbit than a 21 pound rabbit.
