Human Use
Today, black walnut is the most popular wood used for fabricating solid and veneer furniture. Black walnut nuts are shelled commercially in the United States - the nutmeat providing a distinctive, natural flavor for use in several foods such as ice cream, bakery goods, and confections.
The nut has a high nutritional value, and is therefore used in other foods such as salads, fish, pork, chicken, vegetables, and pasta dishes.
