Introduction
There are many things that you have to consider before deciding to take care of any animal. When choosing to start an animal project, you have to make sure that the animal you choose fits your lifestyle and the project you want to complete. Here are some important questions to think about before starting an animal project.

  1. Are you allergic to animal fur?
  1. Where will you keep your animal? Is there a lot of space or is the space limited?
  1. Can you commit to feeding, cleaning, and maintaining the animal over a long period of time?
  1. What kind of rabbit project do you think you would be interested in: pet, show, or market?
  1. What other things should you and your family consider before starting an animal project?

As you work through the sections of this activity, think about which rabbit breed would best suit you based on the information that you are learning. If you think you already have a great understanding of how rabbits are categorized by use in the rabbit industry, size, hair, and body type, then you may want to skip to the activity using the ACTIVITY button below. If you need to review, you can always use the tabs at the top of the screen to go to the section you need help with.
