Instructions for All Scholarships
- Click on this Application Link to fill out a scholarship application, starting November 1st.
- Fill out all required application details and submit. After submitting the application, you will receive a confirmation email if it was submitted correctly.
- Immediately after submitting the online application, register for the 2025 Florida 4-H State Camp Scholarship event to ensure your child has a 4-H Online profile: https://FLcampscholarships2025.4honline.com. This registration is required, and applications will only be considered once both registration to this event AND a scholarship application have been submitted.
- Applicants may receive award status notification as early as December 1st, with awards being shared as funds allow. Depending upon which scholarship your child qualifies for, award notification may not be shared until mid-January. For applicants that apply by January 1st, our goal is to notify you prior to camp registration opening on February 1st.

Florida 4-H Foundation endowments provide annual scholarship funds to ANY youth wanting to attend a Florida 4-H summer camp and in need of financial assistance. These scholarships are made available through the generous contributions from the Busby 4-H Endowment, Alfred I. DuPont Foundation, the Damron Endowment, the Boyd Family Endowment, and the Florida Rural Rehabilitation Corporation Scholarship Fund. Scholarships cover either a camper’s full or partial cost for a week at camp. Campers can use their scholarship funds for either day camp or overnight (residential) camp. Junior Counselors are also eligible to apply for these scholarship funds to assist in attending camp in this role.
Florida 4-H applies for various annual grants that provide funding to military families wanting to attend summer camp at 4-H Camp Cherry Lake, Cloverleaf, and Timpoochee. All scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis and will be awarded until funds are fully expended. These grant funds will vary each year and may have specific applicant requirements. Please read through these scholarship opportunities to see if your family qualifies.
Department of Air Force 4-H Scholarships
- Any Space or Air Force-dependent youth (Active Duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve) are eligible to receive funds to pay for a full week of any camp. This scholarship will cover one week of either day or overnight summer camp at 4-H Camp Timpoochee or overnight summer camp at 4-H Camp Cloverleaf.
SCOPE is a nonprofit that believes every child should have access to summer camp experiences. SCOPE raises money for summer camp scholarships, allocates those funds to ACA-accredited, nonprofit camps, and ultimately provides summer camp experiences for youth to accomplish various life skills and goals. Florida 4-H Camps have applied to receive scholarships for youth to attend overnight camp at both 4-H Camp Cloverleaf and 4-H Camp Timpoochee this summer.
We will receive award notification by May 19th, but in the interim, we are accepting scholarship applications for youth that qualify for these funds. SCOPE scholarship requirements are very specific, so please read the list of requirements before applying, as all requirements must be fulfilled to be awarded a scholarship. All youth are welcome to apply, if they meet the below qualifications.
- Be 9-16 years old at the time of camp and would attend overnight summer camp at Camp Cloverleaf or Camp Timpoochee
- Meet family income requirements established by USDA for free or reduced-price school lunch
- Be enrolled in public school or public charter school
- Complete an application essay
- Make a commitment to stay in school
- Write a thank you letter to SCOPE or applicable SCOPE community partner
- Provide a letter on school letterhead, stating that the child is currently enrolled in public school and that they qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. Other documentation options are available if a letter is not.
Florida 4-H Camps will be applying for a National 4-H Council grant to provide scholarships to campers. These grant-funded scholarships will only be awarded to first-time overnight campers in these specific youth populations: youth residing in or adopted from foster care, immigrant youth (either US or foreign born to immigrant parents), youth in low-income families youth in low-income families (as defined by the 2024 Low-Income Levels), youth with Adverse Childhood Experiences (visit HERE for a definition of ACEs), and military youth impacted by deployment, PTSD, or wounded or fallen veterans.
If your child(ren) falls into one of these youth populations and hasn’t attended overnight camp before at Camp Cloverleaf or Timpoochee, they would qualify for a full overnight camp scholarship to be used any week of camp at either camp. Additionally, for youth ages 14-16 years old, there will be Junior Counselor scholarships. If a youth is interested in serving as a Junior Counselor and is included in the above youth populations, they may submit an application as well.
Qualifications
- Youth must be first-time overnight campers at 4-H Camp Cloverleaf or Timpoochee
- Age requirements for overnight camp is 8-16 years old, as of Sept. 1 of current school year
- Youth must also be included in at least one of these specific youth populations: youth residing in or adopted from foster care, immigrant youth (either US or foreign born to immigrant parents), youth in low-income families (as defined by the 2024 Low-Income Levels), youth with Adverse Childhood Experiences (visit HERE for a definition of ACEs), and military youth impacted by deployment, PTSD, or wounded or fallen veterans.
