    4-H CAMPS

Florida’s three UF/IFAS Extension 4-H Camps are open year-round and provide a variety of different ways guests can visit camp. Overnight and day summer camp programs run at all Florida 4-H Camps and are open to all youth, whether they are 4-H members or not. All camps also rent their facilities to 4-H groups and other local and state organizations for meetings, retreats, and field trips. Another option for visiting one of our camps is by scheduling an environmental education program. We provide a variety of environmental education classes between the three camps, and we invite you into our outdoor classroom.

Our mission statement is to develop life skills in youth through experiential education in the camp environment.

For more information about each camp and its availability, please click below to visit each camp’s individual page and contact them directly. If you’d like general information about Florida 4-H’s camps and/or environmental education programs at camps, feel free to contact Erin Mugge, Florida 4-H Camping and Environmental Education Coordinator, at erin.mugge@ufl.edu or (352) 294-2924.

    • CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

At this time, summer 2025 scholarships have been fully awarded, and the scholarship application is closed.

Florida 4-H is excited to share that we have camp scholarship funds available for youth to attend Florida 4-H Camp Cherry Lake, Cloverleaf and Timpoochee! These scholarships are available to ANY youth wanting to attend a Florida 4-H summer camp and need financial assistance. Scholarships cover either a camper’s full or partial cost for a week at camp. Campers can use their scholarship funds for either day camp or overnight (residential) camp.

    • JUNIOR COUNSELOR PROGRAM

Jr. Counselors are vital to our summer camp program, as they provide mentorship, leadership, and support to our 4-H campers and staff. Youth aged 14-16 years old, as of the current school year, can apply to be a Jr. Counselor each summer. Please see below for more information and how to apply.
