Bill Tillett has the pleasure of being the Cloverleaf Resident Director and State Shooting Sports Coordinator. He grew up in the Florida 4-H program, attended Camp Cloverleaf, and was even the Key Counselor (Head Counselor) for Manatee County one year. Upon graduating high school, Bill started working for the Florida 4-H Camping Program as camp and maintenance staff, while attending college for his undergraduate and master’s degrees. Since 2013, Bill has worked at 4-H Camp Cloverleaf in various positions, as staff at four Florida 4-H camps, and as the Interim Director at 4-H Camp Cherry Lake. Bill’s favorite thing about camp is that it creates an opportunity for young people to experience new things in a safe environment and discover what they are passionate about.  If Bill’s not at camp, he can often be found at state parks or theme parks.

Mason Mullen has the pleasure of being the Assistant Director of Camp Cloverleaf. Mason has been camping in 4-h since he was 10 years old in the Operation Military Kids program, starting out as a camper and later on being a camp counselor for many summers at camp Ocala, Timpoochee and Cloverleaf. Mason then became a camp staff in 2018 at cloverleaf and spent the summers of 2018, 2019, and 2021 on staff, becoming the Program director in 2021. In between summers Mason worked at a preschool as an afterschool counselor and over time became the afterschool lead and supervisor for the preschool. Mason’s favorite thing about camp is how it prepares youth with leadership and social skills. When Mason isn’t working, he likes to read and play games with new friends.

What is 4-H Camp Cloverleaf?

4-H Camp Cloverleaf is a camp in Lake Placid, Florida, that is owned and operated by University of Florida/IFAS. Land was donated to the state of Florida back in 1948, and in 1952 programs begin at 4-H Camp Cloverleaf. Since then, thousands of 4-H members have participated in summer camp programs and state and local businesses and organizations have enjoyed retreats and trainings at camp. Its beautiful location provides waterfront access to Lake Francis and allows camp visitors to enjoy sunny, South Central Florida. Starting in Summer 2022, 4-H Camp Cloverleaf is pleased to announce that all weeks of summer camp will be open to all youth, regardless of whether they are 4-H members yet.
