Timpoochee Day Camp
Are you ready to jump into a week at camp but are not interested in staying overnight? Would you enjoy exploring coastal Florida, problem-solving, playing games, and creating art? 4-H Camp Timpoochee day camp is the place to be then! Come join our camp Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm and Fridays from 7:30 am until 1:00 pm. Come see how much fun learning can be, as campers participate in various hands-on, experiential learning activities all day long. Nutritious and delicious lunches are provided each day, along with a mid-morning and afternoon snack. Trained camp staff provide supervision and lead activities each week for all day campers. There is also an on-site health director that can provide basic medical care and can distribute campers’ medications. In the case of a medical emergency, local emergency responders can access camp and provide care.
Registration is open to any youth aged 6-12 years, as of September 1st of the previous fall. For more information about specific weeks at camp and on how to register, please see below. Week 1: June 5-9; Outdoor Skills | Cost $250
Ages: Youth aged 6-12, as of September 1, 2022
Join us as we kick off our summer 2023 with a week in the great outdoors! Campers will explore nature through the lens of summer camp! From plant and animal identification to stories around the campfire, wild outdoors camp will immerse youth in the beauty of Camp Timpoochee. We will go on nature walks and delve into the different ecosystems found on camp, all while making summer memories that will last a lifetime.

Week 2: June 12-16: Wonder Emporium | Cost $250
Ages: Youth aged 6-12, as of September 1, 2022
Camp Timpoochee is ecstatic for our third summer of this imagination packed week! As campers journey through Wonder Emporium week, they will connect the magic of the world with the real-life science that’s behind it all. From chemistry and physics to wildlife ecology and robotics, we will be sure to dabble into your favorite topics. Expect to perform experiments, create beautiful art, and collect specimens from the amazing world around us!

Week 3: June 19-23 Marine Science I | Cost $250
Ages: Youth aged 6-12, as of September 1, 2022
Calling all ocean lovers! Marine science camp is back in full swing! Join us as campers become oceanographers and dive into the wonders of our Florida seas, gulfs, and bays. This week we will take a special focus on our local and regional ecosystems that make Florida so unique. Expect to explore our very own Choctawhatchee Bay, practicing different types of netting, and learning to identify fish and aquatic plants. Don’t forget the Timpoochee tradition of marine camp water carnival!

Week 6: July 10-14 Outdoor Skills | Cost $250
Ages: Youth aged 6-12, as of September 1, 2022
Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? Join us for a week where we will explore the ins and outs of outdoor survival! Expect to grow your skills in compass navigation, shelter and fire building, wildlife identification, finding water, and so much more. This week is the perfect opportunity for all young adventurers to gain confidence in the outdoors and master their skills.

Week 7: July 17-21 Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead | Cost $250
Ages: Youth aged 6-12, as of September 1, 2022
Where does a scientist eat their lunch?....On the periodic table!! Get ready, young scientists, for some great laughs during our explosive week of S.T.E.A.M. fun. Campers will have an opportunity to conduct hands-on experiments exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. This week will no doubt be an absolute blast!

Week 8: July 24-28 Junior Marine Science Camp II Cost | $250
Ages: Youth aged 6-12, as of September 1, 2022
A Camp Timpoochee classic continues! Expect all your favorite marine camp traditions from netting in the bay, scientific dissections with local experts, to caring for creatures in our marine laboratory. Campers can expect a week full of ocean exploration with focus on why we should learn about the oceans and how they make our world on land go round!
Registration
Registration for all summer camp programs will be open 9:00 am EST on February 1st and will be available on a first-come-first serve basis. Individual camper registrations cannot be made, or positions held, over the phone or via email. Any registrations must be reserved using 4-H Online, so click the link below to register. Full payment of registration fees must also be received to secure a place at camp. Upon receipt of the camper’s completed forms in 4-H online and payment, a confirmation email will be sent to confirm registration is complete.
