    • Opportunities Available at SRTLC

Prepare to submit for any of these opportunities by August 30, 2023. Links will be made available as we get closer to the event.

      • Workshops - Do you have exciting skills or knowledge that you want to teach others? Consider applying to lead a one (1) hour workshop. We recommend workshops consist of 30 minutes of hands-on activities and be taught by two youth and adult.
      • Roundtables - Do you have an important topic that you'd like to discuss? Consider applying to lead a 20-minute roundtable. You will need to decide on a topic and a list of guiding questions that will help guide the discussion.
      • Pride of States - Do you have an awesome event, activity, project, or experience in Florida 4-H that you want to share at SRTLC? Consider applying to show off your hard work and maybe someone will get a new idea to take home.
      • Talent Show - Do you have a talent that you want to show off to the southern region? We'd love to see it!
    • Be Part of Making SRTLC Happen!

Submit online application at by SRTLC Planning Committee Application (ufl.qualtrics.com) by May 9.
*Ignore May 1 deadline mentioned in application*

Youth and adult members from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee gather during the summer to plan and implement SRTLC. Each year, Florida can appoint three (3) youth members to represent them in the planning and implementation process. Senior 4-H members ages 14-18 (as of September 1 of the current 4-H year), are invited to apply to be on this planning committee. Strong preference is given to those members who have attended SRTLC in the past, but we welcome applications from any 4-H member who is of age and has a passion for program planning and implementation.

Responsibilities for the three chosen 4-H members will include Zoom planning meetings leading up to the event and facilitating both an educational workshop and roundtable discussion during the conference. They need to be available to attend the pre-conference meeting the day before the event and the full conference. This is a great opportunity to build leadership and event planning related skills alongside youth and adults from Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
