BECOMING A STATE COUNCIL OFFICER

State Council Officers consist of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Parliamentarian, Sergeant-At-Arms, and Historian. The first five (5) are elected by State Council voting delegates at their annual meeting during Florida 4-H University. The remaining three (3) are appointed by the incoming five (5) elected positions.

Interviews for the appointed positions occur after elections conclude. The applicants are personally informed of the final decision after the interview process is complete, and the three (3) appointed officers are officially announced during the Youth Awards Banquet at 4-H University.

State officer candidate applications are due by July 10. All information regarding applications, candidacy, and being a state officer can be found below.

Online Submission Link, Deadlines, & Application Components
Applications will only be accepted through the online form. This can be accessed by clicking the link below.

A complete State Officer Candidate Application (ufl.qualtrics.com) contains the following components:
1. Submitting the online form with the following:
  - Answering the essay question
  - Uploading your 4-H resume, campaign graphic, and headshot
  - Submitting your county 4-H professional's email
2. County 4-H professional approval and recommendation
At the end of the candidate application, you will be given the option to fill out additional Executive Board related questions. This is used in the case that you do not become a state officer and would still like to be on Executive Board. If you fill this out, you will not need to submit a separate Executive Board application.

Application must be completed by July 1 at 11:59PM.
Your county 4-H professional must submit the form sent to them by July 11 at 11:59PM.
