    ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS

    4-H Camp Cherry Lake’s environmental education programs are located right on the lakeshore of Cherry Lake in Madison, FL. Our classes allow for students to engage in experiential learning in an outdoor setting, with programs aligning to state and national science and education standards. Students can learn about various environmental and outdoor based topics, based upon each visiting group’s goals and objectives. Check out our programs below!

    • Funding Opportunity

      American Red Cross logo; white circle with red cross on topThe American Red Cross has provided funds that will fully support overnight and day field trips to 4-H Camp Cherry Lake, Cloverleaf, and Timpoochee.

      Funds support counties impacted by Hurricanes Helene and/or Milton, with priority given to counties individual and public assistance eligible. To see eligibility, check out these FEMA Maps.

      Apply for funds during the online booking request process found below.

    • Overnight Programs

      Overnight field trips immerse students into camp and outdoor learning, giving all a memorable learning experience. Attendees stay in climate-controlled cabins that have bathrooms inside each unit. A maximum of 40 total people can attend overnight programs. Overnight trips can last 1-4 nights, depending upon the group’s interest.

    • Day Programs

      A day trip to 4-H Camp Cherry Lake is a great way to get students out of the classroom and learning experientially outdoors. A maximum of 90 students per day trip can attend. Day trips include 1-4 classes per day, depending upon the group’s interest.
